Mark’s practice centers on representing banks and life insurance companies in commercial loan transactions. He has represented agent banks in syndicated construction loans and permanent lenders in the financing of large commercial and agricultural projects.
His practice also extends beyond lenders, including representation of developers in their corporate structuring and through the full lifespan of commercial real estate projects, from the property acquisition and construction financing to eventual sale. His experience spans all asset classes including industrial, multifamily, office, and hotel. The breadth of his work embodies the firm's core philosophy that the client is best represented through a rich, contextual understanding of the interconnectivity of many facets of the law, and the needs and priorities of the client as a whole.
Mark received his J.D. in 2010 from the University of Washington and an L.L.M. in taxation from New York University. Mark was a member of the crew team during college at George Washington University, and in 2006 received the award for the highest graduating GPA of any male athlete. While at GWU, Mark spent four weeks working at an archaeological dig at Tel-Kabri in northern Israel, an experience that prepared him for sorting through mounds of complex legal documents. Mark lives in Seattle with his wife and their two young daughters.
