Denise's real estate work includes negotiating and drafting purchase and sale agreements and leases, handling real estate closings, drafting covenants, conditions, restrictions and easements and assisting with real estate-related litigation such as partition, landlord tenant matters, or boundary dispute actions.She has experience advising developers and individuals with land use issues during development.
Denise has experience in resolving title matters and in the past she has handled title insurance company claims on behalf of the title company and as counsel for their insureds. Since many of her land use and real estate clients are contractors, she is also familiar with construction matters such as liens. She has also advised water and sewer districts in condemnation, collection and other matters.
Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, Denise attended college in Ohio where she was a research associate in a lab and learned to do CPR on rats, a skill she has happily not been called upon to perform since. She received her J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law.
Denise is married to a contractor and they are proud parents of an adult daughter. She considers it a privilege to have worked with many wonderful clients over the course of her career and continues to derive a great deal of satisfaction helping them resolve problems and build their businesses.
