Evan C. Heaney
Associate
Evan’s practice focuses on real estate and commercial litigation. In addition to handling breach of contracts, commercial leasing, liens, easements, title disputes and other real property issues (including environmental claims under MTCA and CERCLA, and eminent domain disputes) he also offers experience in negotiating construction contracts and commercial leases.
As a litigator, Evan welcomes the opportunity to help his clients achieve positive resolutions during some of the most stressful times in their lives. He has prevailed in cases involving both bench and jury trials in state and federal courts, and has successfully guided clients through multimillion-dollar settlement negotiations and mediations.
Evan received his undergraduate degree with honors from Washington State University, and graduated in the top three of his class from Seattle University School of Law where he was Lead Article Editor on the Law Review.
In and out of the office, Evan is a creative thinker who leaves no detail unattended. One of his most successful projects involved flying his girlfriend to Paris where he surprised her with a picture-perfect marriage proposal at the Louvre. She said yes. When he isn’t traveling with her to one of the corners of the world they haven’t visited yet, he enjoys (attempting) golf and running legal strategies by his cat Oliver, who is a tough audience.
