Mary Joy focuses her practice on commercial real estate transactions, commercial loan transactions, and land use matters.
Born and raised in Bellevue, Washington, she received her J.D., cum laude from Seattle University School of Law. She has an undergraduate degree from Saint Mary’s College in South Bend, Indiana, and she wears the class ring that was passed on to her by her mother, who is also a proud Saint Mary’s alum.
Although her education and experience have served her well, Mary Joy attributes a great deal of her success in life and work to her close relationship with her wonderful extended family. As the youngest of five siblings, she became very good at negotiating effectively, flying under the radar, and keeping her cool while those around her are losing theirs, all of which are essential qualities in an attorney.
In addition to her more traditional skills, Mary Joy has a knack for quoting her favorite movies and TV shows to fit almost any situation. If she could have a more practical superpower, it would be the ability to teleport so she wouldn't have to spend another second sitting in traffic on I-5. In the meantime, she is happy to commute at less than the speed of light as long as it continues to offer her the opportunity do good work and work with good people.
